Configuration¶
Add the following configuration to your Cursor MCP settings file. If the file already exists and has an mcpServers section, merge this configuration into it.
Basic Configuration¶
Configuration¶
Steps¶
- Find or create the configuration file using the instructions above
- Add the configuration JSON to the file:
- If the file is empty, paste the entire JSON configuration
- If the file already has an
mcpServerssection, add"akashic-mcp"to it - Configure your MCP token in the client (e.g. Authorization: Bearer)
- Save the file
- Restart Cursor completely (close all windows and reopen)
- Verify connection - Cursor should now show Akashic MCP tools available
Verifying Your Configuration¶
After configuring, verify that everything works:
- Check MCP Status: In Cursor, go to Settings → MCP (or check the MCP panel)
- Look for "akashic-mcp": You should see "akashic-mcp" in the list of servers
- Check Status: The status should be "Connected" or "Ready"
- Test a Tool: Try using a simple tool like
list_collectionsfrom your AI assistant
Troubleshooting¶
"Loading tools" but tools don't appear¶
- Verify the server is accessible:
- Open
https://akashic-mcp.com/healthin your browser -
Should return
{"status":"ok"} -
Check the endpoint manually:
-
Review Cursor logs for connection errors
- Ensure the JSON syntax is correct (no trailing commas)
Connection Error¶
- Verify the URL is correct:
https://akashic-mcp.com/mcp - Check that no firewall is blocking the connection
- Try accessing
https://akashic-mcp.com/healthfrom your browser
Authentication Error¶
- The
tools/listmethod does not require authentication - Only
tools/callrequires authentication - If
tools/listfails, there's a server issue
